ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead development at AMAC.

AMAC ASIC- und Mikrosensoranwendung Chemnitz GmbH is an innovative, internationally active microtechnology company. Our focus is on the development and distribution of customer-specific ASICs, ASSPs and MEMS for applications in measurement systems, mechanical engineering and aviation.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full-time Head of Electronics Development & ASIC Design (m/f/d) starting immediately.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Overall responsibility for the development department, including hardware and software development, prototype and small-series production, testing and verification.
  • Management of demanding development projects with regard to time, quality and cost, including reporting to management and customers.
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of the development team.
  • Presentation of the product portfolio at trade fairs, industry events and networking events.
  • Advising customers and sales partners on application possibilities and technical specifications of AMAC products and individual development services.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, microelectronics, information technology or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of leadership experience in a technology-oriented industrial company.
  • In-depth knowledge of the complete design process for integrated circuits or electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with EDA tools and hardware description languages.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including frontend/backend and packaging technologies.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, combined with a clear results- and process-oriented approach.
  • Ability to assess innovation risks and development efforts from an economic perspective.
  • Strong customer orientation and sound market knowledge.
  • Hands-on mentality combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented way of working.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
